Text Messaging Terms

What We Text

GuardNIL University sends account texts to parents and guardians who turn them on: weekly check-in reminders, payment approvals, and messages from their athlete's coach. Every text starts with "GuardNIL". We never send marketing or promotional texts, and we never text a child.

How Families Opt In

Texts are off until a parent turns them on. Signed in at Settings → Notifications, the parent chooses Set up texting, enters their mobile number, and checks the box below. The box is never checked by default. This is the form exactly as it appears in the app:

By checking this box and providing your mobile number, you agree to receive texts from GuardNIL University about your family's account: weekly check-in reminders, payment approvals, and coach messages. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. We will not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Shown for reference. To turn on texts, sign in and open Settings → Notifications.

A family that has opted in can choose, message type by message type, which updates arrive by text. Texting STOP to our number also opts out.

Frequency, Cost, and Carriers

Message frequency varies with the updates a family turns on. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping Texts and Getting Help

Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts. We reply once to confirm:

GuardNIL University: You are unsubscribed and will receive no further messages. Reply START to opt back in.

Your Mobile Number

We will not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except the carrier vendor that delivers the texts on our behalf.
